The Parish Council is seeking to co-opt a new Member, to succeed Ian McEwen, who stood down in February. To apply for the position, you must meet the following criteria:

1. a British citizen, a Commonwealth citizen, or a citizen of another member state of the European Union;

2. 18 years-of-age, or older, on the day of the Council meeting where your application will be considered;

3. for the whole of the 12 months prior to your application being considered, you must:

a. have been an elector of the Parish and either occupied or owned/rented premises in the Parish; or
b. resided within 3 miles of the Parish boundary; or
c. had your principal (or only) place of work within the Parish.

Applications must be made in writing, to the Clerk, confirming that you meet the foregoing requirements. You should also include a statement setting out the skills, knowledge and experience you would bring to the Council, and how you would contribute to its work in supporting and promoting the well-being of the Parish.

The Council will consider all applications at its meeting on May 8, and will make the co-option using the procedure set out in the attached document .
