New Local Plan - PC Views

Brenchley Parish Council has published a proposed Strategy for Development and a draft reponse to the Borough Council's New Local Plan Issues and Options document. Residents' comments on these will be welcome by Friday 2 June.

Greg Clark, former MP for Tunbridge Wells and Conservative party candidate for the seat at the General Election, has written to the Transport Secretary in support of SE train services from rural stations.

New Local Plan Consultation

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has started work on the preparation of a new Local Plan which will guide future development in our borough up to the year 2033. Local residents have the opportunity to have a say in the preparation of a new Local Plan.

Borough Council Call for Sites

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is preparing a new Local Plan for the next twenty years, which will guide development througout the borough. The Council has recently published locations that have been submitted in response its recent Call for Sites, which encouraged individuals and organisations to put land forward for potential development.

Power Cut Number

A new national power cut phone line – 105 – has been launched to help people contact the electricity company in the event of a power cut.

Weekend Amenity Vehicle

The weekend amenity vehicle currently visits Brenchley and Matfield each Sunday to allow people to dispose of rubbish which is not taken by the normal refuse collection. There will be changes in this service from the beginning of August.

Kent County Council can repair potholes quite quickly if they are identified and reported by members of the public.
